The fan-favourite Vitara is turning electric with the arrival of the Suzuki e VITARA. Completely new from the ground up, it is Suzuki Global’s first full-electric vehicle, and the start of an exciting new chapter for Gazley Suzuki.

The Suzuki family is growing, and we couldn’t be more excited! Our much-loved Vitara is getting a glow-up and going fully electric with the arrival of the charming Suzuki e VITARA, making its debut in the second quarter of 2026. This isn’t just an update—it’s a brand-new Suzuki, built from scratch to be our first-ever fully electric vehicle for the brand. Kicking off a sparkling new chapter for Suzuki right here in New Zealand!

Freshly minted and straight from high-tech facility in Gujarat, the e VITARA is already starting its adventure, buzzing its way to over 100 countries. It’s even caught the eye of the experts and is a contender for the super-special 2026 World Car of the Year award—how cool is that?

While it might look a little different from the Suzukis you know and love, don’t worry! This adorable SUV is still 100% focused on drivers & families. Which is why the e VITARA comes packed with clever and advanced features designed to keep everyone safe and sound! Think of it as having a friendly co-pilot: you get high-tech helpers like Autonomous Emergency Braking, Rear Cross Traffic Alert (great for backing out of busy spots!), Traffic Sign Recognition and parking sensors to name just a few. And here’s a fun little detail: a safety alert sound to let pedestrians know where you are as your e VITARA quietly glides by.

So, whats under the bonnet? The e VITARA gives you a choice of two great options:

  • A 61kWh two-wheel-drive with an estimated range of up to 430km* on a full charge.
  • A 61kWh ALLGRIP all-wheel-drive with a range up to 396km*.
