Established in 1986, the Gazley Volkswagen Marathon has been a runners favourite for 35 years. Starting at the famous Sky Stadium this scenic route takes runners across Wellington’s beautiful waterfront. With a full marathon, half marathon, 10km & a Kids Magic Mile. There’s something for runners of all ages and fitness levels.
General Course info
All running events will finish on the Fran Wilde Walkway in front on the Sky Stadium. Each kilometer of the course is marked sequentially on the outward run. The 10km, full & half marathon races will be IAAF certified.
Every 4-5km of the course will have an Aid Station. These stations will have first aid & drinks. There will be no sponges, bottles or energy gels provided.
We kindly ask all runners to discard their cups at the bins provided or at the next drink station.
