Volkswagen DOTY Awards for 2019

The annual event celebrates the years achievements across the New Zealand Dealer Network at every level including; Parts, Service, Finance, Passenger Sales, Commercial Sales and Marketing.

Auckland, 11th March 2020 – Volkswagen New Zealand has recognised and rewarded all-round excellence at its Dealer of the Year awards evening.

A big congratulations to Ebbett Volkswagen who took home the prize of top Volkswagen Dealership in New Zealand for 2019.

The event marked the first outing of the Volkswagen brand re-fresh including a completely revised brand logo due to launch April 2020. Fittingly celebrated at the grand Town Hall in Auckland, the heritage of the brand was on show with a walk around of Volkswagen through the ages. The network reflected on how far the brand has come and what lies ahead for Volkswagen New Zealand in 2020.

Greg Leet, General Manager of Volkswagen Passenger, explained that the Dealer of the Year is an opportunity to express our passion for the brand and equally our gratitude to the dealer network for delivering the brand every day in our communities. “It is often said that Volkswagen aren’t always first to the party but when we do show up, we are the best dressed. We are privileged to have world class products from Volkswagen AG but it is our dealer teams that ultimately deliver the Volkswagen experience to our customers. This event is about acknowledging their efforts.”

The event was hosted by Hilary Barry who guided the evening with humor and a true understanding of the Volkswagen community. In attendance were representatives from 19 Volkswagen dealerships plus European Motor Distributors Ltd and Volkswagen New Zealand staff. Every detail of the night was given a Volkswagen touch from the entrance way to the accents on each table. A true celebration of the brand that goes beyond a car.

Kevin Richards, General Manager of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles commented that “our customers are unique and they value the superior experience that’s provided at every Volkswagen Dealership. When a customer purchases a Volkswagen, they become part of the Volkswagen family. This event is about recognising the moments where dealers have
gone above and beyond in each area of their business. Having the network and my amazing team in the same room wonderfully brings that community and family spirit to life.”
